ocated in the South, Shanti Maurice boasts 61 impressive suites and villas all overlooking the Indian Ocean. If you’re looking for a secluded holiday then this is your place! The seas are slightly choppier, but extremely beautiful for a walk along the beach.Located between Le Morne and Blue Bay, you will definitely find tranquility here in the South- the villas are beautifully secluded, most of which have private pools- so this place is perfect if you’re wanting a quiet getaway. There are a selection of great restaurants, including ‘the Fish Shack’ which is alfresco dining at its best, with sand in your toes and the sea as your backdrop, one tip- you *must try the local rhum to go with your meal! With its natural rustic design, I love this restaurant – you can relax whilst taking in the view with your feet in the sand, and try their fresh catch of the day. With 36 acres of stunningly exotic land, why not take a picnic and head for a walk to your chosen spot; of the course the hotel can create a hamper of your choice.
Their Nira Spa include several different ‘experiences’ for you to enhance your holistic lifestyle. Choose between their Oriental Experience, Indian Experience using ayurvedic techniques and their Holistic Bio Experience. If that’s not enough, they offer many classes including yoga, pilates and Aquafit sessions to suit your energy levels.
A short stay here, but one I will definitely be returning to. I must admit, the prices seem a little steep for the South, however they have many returning customers and the reviews of this resort speak for themselves!
